Welcome to Baier Bookkeeping. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Baier Bookkeeping website, services, and any related communications (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are owned and operated by Jamie Baier, providing bookkeeping services in Ventura County and surrounding areas.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.
1. Description of Services
Baier Bookkeeping provides general bookkeeping, financial organization, and related administrative services to small businesses and individuals. The specific scope of services to be provided will be outlined in a separate Client Agreement or Engagement Letter signed by both parties.
2. No Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice
Baier Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping services only. Jamie Baier is not a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), financial advisor, or attorney. None of the information provided on our website or during the execution of our services should be construed as legal, tax, or financial investment advice. You are solely responsible for your final financial decisions and are encouraged to consult with a licensed CPA, tax preparer, or legal counsel for specific tax and legal compliance matters.
3. Client Responsibilities
To provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services, we rely on the information and documents you provide. You agree to:

Promptly respond to inquiries and requests for clarification regarding your financial records.

Maintain the original copies of all your financial records and receipts as required by law. Baier Bookkeeping is not responsible for the loss or retention of your original documents.
4. Confidentiality and Data Security
We understand the sensitive nature of your financial data. Baier Bookkeeping is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information. We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your data; however, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. You agree that Baier Bookkeeping is not liable for unauthorized access to your data that is beyond our reasonable control.

5. Payment Terms
Fees for bookkeeping services will be agreed upon in advance and outlined in your specific Engagement Letter or Client Agreement.

Failure to remit payment in a timely manner may result in the suspension or termination of Services.

Baier Bookkeeping reserves the right to update pricing for ongoing services with a reasonable advance notice of [e.g., 30 days].
6. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, branding, logos, and text found on the Baier Bookkeeping website are the intellectual property of Baier Bookkeeping and Jamie Baier. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Baier Bookkeeping and Jamie Baier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of our Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Baier Bookkeeping for the specific services giving rise to the claim during the [e.g., three (3) months] preceding the event.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the business relationship at any time by providing written notice as specified in your Engagement Letter. Upon termination, all outstanding fees for services rendered up to the date of termination shall become immediately due and payable. Baier Bookkeeping reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to our website or services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Use and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in or serving Ventura County, California.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
